A Moment to Be Proud Of

We Have Something to Celebrate!

There are moments when it is important to stop, look back and recognise just how far we have come.
This is one of those moments for MMT Healthcare.

MMT Healthcare has recently received a GOOD rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Around the same time, we also welcomed a Home Office compliance review relating to our sponsored international
workforce.

While these may appear to be two separate achievements, together they demonstrate something extremely important:
MMT is building a professional, compliant and quality-led care organisation.

And this achievement belongs to every member of the MMT Healthcare team.

What Does a GOOD CQC Rating Mean?

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.
A GOOD rating provides external recognition that MMT has demonstrated a good standard of care and management
across the areas assessed.

For our clients and their families, this reflects our ongoing commitment to providing safe, compassionate and
person-centred care while respecting people’s dignity, choices and independence.

Our Commitment to Quality Includes:
  • Compassionate and respectful care
  • Keeping clients safe and identifying risks
  • Providing person-centred support
  • Listening to clients, families and staff
  • Continuously improving the services we provide

While we are incredibly proud of receiving a GOOD rating, we should not become complacent.
Good is not the end of our journey.

Our ambition is simple:
KEEP THE GOOD. IMPROVE THE GOOD. AIM FOR OUTSTANDING.

Home Office Compliance Review

MMT Healthcare has also recently undergone a Home Office compliance review relating to our sponsored workforce.
The review provided an opportunity for MMT to demonstrate that our employment and sponsorship arrangements are
being properly managed, including areas such as pay and working arrangements.

We take our responsibilities as a sponsor seriously. We are committed to ensuring that our sponsored employees
are properly supported and that employment arrangements comply with the relevant requirements.

For our international staff, this means that your employment matters. You are a valued member of the MMT team,
and we want everyone to feel supported and able to raise questions or concerns about their employment.

Staff Also Have Responsibilities
  • Keep MMT informed of relevant changes to your circumstances
  • Attend work as scheduled
  • Follow your employment contract and MMT policies
  • Keep your contact details up to date
  • Raise concerns about pay or working arrangements promptly
  • Speak to management if you are unsure about anything relating to your employment

If something doesn’t look right, speak to us. We would rather address a question early than
allow a misunderstanding to become a problem.

A Stronger Company Creates More Opportunities

The CQC rating and Home Office compliance review provide important evidence that MMT is developing in the areas
of good people, good systems, good governance, good care and good compliance.

As MMT continues to grow, this can create opportunities for our staff, including senior support workers, team
leaders, senior carers, specialist roles, trainers, mentors, care coordinators and management positions.

We also want to continue investing in training and professional development, including additional qualifications,
specialist care training, leadership development, digital skills, safeguarding and quality and compliance training.

If you want to develop, tell us. We want to support the ambitions of our staff wherever possible.

Quality Is What We Do Every Day

Our CQC success is not the achievement of one person. It is the result of hundreds of individual actions by
staff every day.

  • A colleague arriving on time
  • Someone noticing a change in a client’s condition
  • A care worker speaking up
  • A medication record being completed correctly
  • A family member receiving a reassuring phone call
  • A colleague helping someone through a difficult shift

These everyday actions build quality. Quality is what we do every day.

Colleague of the Month — Congratulations Panashe!

Congratulations to Panashe, our Colleague of the Month for July.

Panashe has been recognised for his exceptional diligence, awareness and commitment to the people we support.
His ability to identify potential risks, raise concerns appropriately and find practical solutions has helped
protect clients and support their wellbeing.

His proactive and person-centred approach is a fantastic example of how being observant and willing to speak up
can make an important difference to the people we support. He also continues to receive brilliant feedback for
his caring, attentive and supportive approach.

Thank you, Panashe, for your continued hard work, professionalism and commitment to delivering high-quality care.

From Good to Great

Receiving a GOOD rating is an achievement, but our sights are set higher. Our long-term ambition is to develop
MMT into an organisation recognised as a great place to work, a great place to receive care, a great organisation
to partner with and a great organisation to build a career with.

We want to continue asking ourselves:
Can we make this safer? Can we make this better? Can we improve the client’s experience?
Can we support our staff better?

That is the culture we want at MMT Healthcare.
