What is the CQC?
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care services in England. It checks that care providers are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Why Does the Rating Matter?
A CQC rating gives clients, families, staff and commissioners an independent indication of the quality and safety of a care service. A "Good" rating shows that the service has met the CQC's expected standards and provides confidence that people are receiving safe, effective and person-centred care.
